The privacy aspect is implemented in everything Tunstall does, in all steps of the process, from the inception of a new improvement idea, during its development, to the end of the process. Tunstall ensures personal data is kept up-to-date and processed in a manner that ensures security, integrity, and confidentiality.

At Tunstall we make sure that all personal data is processed in a lawful, fair and transparent way. Tunstall only collects personal data in accordance with the instructions given by the data controller, and in accordance with the purposes and legal grounds given by the data controller. Tunstall does not process personal data for any other purpose. Contact your employer or care provider for complete information regarding their handling of your personal data including purpose, legal grounds, retention policy, and your rights as a data subject according to the EU General data protection regulation (GDPR).

The information is stored in accordance with the data controller’s retention policy.

What information do we collect?

The app only processes personal data that is necessary for the given purpose.

  • Your telephone number if required, for receiving calls and messages.
  • Your location data in order to send an alarm, and to determine the closest alarm responder or care provider to be alerted.
  • We do not store the username and password used to log in to the app. The Tunstall+ app is an exception. In this case your username and password are stored encrypted by the app since all outside communication requires this information for secure communication to server. However, the encrypted username and password are deleted when the user logs out.
  • You can use the telephone’s camera and microphone to scan QR code, and to record messages. The app does not use the camera and microphone for any other purpose.

How is the information collected?

Your telephone number is collected if needed for core functionality reasons when you log in. Where applicable, the location data is collected all the time, provided you have not turned this functionality off.

Information about your actions, such as check-in and check-out are registered by you.

Information about your schedule is provided by your employer or care provider through the TES web application.

How is the collected data used?

Your contact information and schedule are displayed to yourself and your colleagues/care providers in the app so that you can be contacted if needed or reach the nearest colleague/care provider in case of emergency.

Your visit to a customer, or a care provider’s visit to you is registered in the app. When the assignment is completed, and you check out, the visit will move to History.

Your location data and telephone number are used in order to contact you in the case of alarms. They are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with any third party. The app may use Crashlytics which saves information related to crashes. However, no user data is saved.

Actions and notes registered in the TES app are also visible and registered in the TES web application.

Your employer, or care provider, who is the data controller, will be able to access information about you, your visits, and your actions in the app.

The information collected in the app is stored together with all other information handled in the TES web application or other database.

How can you access your personal data and update it?

If you are a care provider, the use of the app is part of executing your obligations as an employee.

If you need information about your employer’s, or care provider’s rights to handle your personal data, please turn to the employer/care provider data privacy policy.

You can change your telephone number in the app’s settings.

You can turn off location data at any time. This would however mean that you will not have access to certain parts of the app, and this would affect your reception of alarms.

Our Cookie policy.

The app does not use cookies. However, in the case of federated login, the external identity provider may have their own cookies.

If you have further questions regarding the app, send them to: Nordic.GDPR@Tunstall.com
